Our client, who specialises in Scottish tartan fashion, gifts and accessories, is looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic and determined individual to join their team as a Customer Experience Assistant Modern Apprentice, this would be a brilliant opportunity for recent school/college leavers or those looking for a new challenge.


  • Working with all their departments including stock and dispatch
  • Giving customers top-notch advice
  • Using their CRM to respond to customer emails in a timely manner
  • Use LiveChat to help customers choose the right garment
  • Giving customers a warm welcome and being on hand to help with any questions or queries
  • Dealing with orders/purchases
  • Dealing with payments

  • UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
  • A proficient understanding of Microsoft Office programs.

About our client:

Our client is a retail business with a great reputation for providing quality fabrics, clothing and interior products in over 500 tartans through their website and retail stores. With a flagship store in Edinburgh and recent expansion to the USA where they opened their first international store in Albany, New York. They have a passion for Scotland honouring its heritage and pride themselves on promoting traditional textiles via creative campaigns.

By becoming an apprentice with our client, they will support you with everything you need to truly realise your potential – from experience in a full-time role to an industry-recognised qualification and the support of a global brand, all whilst earning a real wage. Their people are the most important part of their business. They are currently looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about providing great customer service. This apprenticeship opportunity will give you the chance to spend 12 months building the skills and confidence that come with training in a paid full-time job, all the time surrounded by a friendly, highly experienced team who will support you every step of the way.

*Please note, this opportunity will begin in August 2023.*

Location: You will be located at our head office in Duns. On occasion, you may have the opportunity to work in our Edinburgh store.

Working hours: Maximum 40 hours per week. They operate from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and they are also open on Sunday. Sundays are usually worked 1 in 5 weeks on a rota basis. Weekdays are 9am to 5pm with one day a week 10am to 6pm on a rota basis.

Wage: National Minimum Wage for individual’s age

  • 12-month fixed term contract.
  • Progression opportunities once completed apprenticeship.

Your training will start with a 6-12 months Digital Application Support Modern Apprenticeship, which consists of learning on the job, as well as our custom-built E-Learning platform. You will develop all the skills you need to pass your work-based assessments. Our assessors are available to provide one-to-one support and will work with your line manager to ensure you settle into your new role.

You will gain a Diploma in Digital Application Support, which is a Nationally recognised qualification and may be used to gain employment and further your career in digital administration.

***Please note all candidates must be 16-24 due to government apprenticeship funding and must be able to commute to Duns every weekday. We welcome applicants from aged 16-29 if you are care experienced or a person with a physical disability, learning difficulty, mental health difficulty, social / communication impairment, or long-standing health issue***

Salary: £5.28-£10.42 per hour
