Our client is looking for a motivated and determined individual to join their head office based in Hamilton as a Trainee Insurance Broker Modern Apprentice.

Job Responsibilities:

This role will involve supporting the commercial team in all aspects of the daily business of the firm including:

  • General client assistance; phone calls, emails and visitors to the office.
  • Processing of incoming & outgoing mail.
  • Handling payments and issuing receipts.
  • Other general admin tasks as they arise.

The candidate will be supported in their journey to achieve a Modern Apprenticeship SCQF level 6 qualification. Beyond that, our client will support the candidate in further personal development towards Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications along with an opportunity to progress within the firm.

This represents a fantastic opportunity for an individual to begin their insurance career with the support of an experienced and ambitious team.

Your training will start with a 6-12 months Digital Application Support Modern Apprenticeship, which consists of learning on the job, as well as our custom-built E-Learning platform. You will develop all the skills you need to pass your work-based assessments. Our assessors are available to provide one-to-one support and will work with your line manager to ensure you settle into your new role.

You will gain a Diploma in Digital Application Support, which is a Nationally recognised qualification and may be used to gain employment and further your career in Digital Applications.

***Please note all candidates must be 16-24 due to government apprenticeship funding and must be able to easily commute to Hamilton every weekday. We welcome applicants from aged 16-29 if you are care experienced or a person with a physical disability, learning difficulty, mental health difficulty, social / communication impairment, or long-standing health issue***

Full Time: Mon-Fri 9 am – 5 pm.

£12,000 + pension contribution and performance bonus

25 days holiday plus 6 defined public holidays [31 in total]
