On Tuesday 10th August 2021, it will be #NoWrongPath day and we are looking forward to sharing our journeys and stories online to highlight that there is no wrong path to employment. We understand that everyone’s learning style is different and some students don’t walk out with the qualifications they desire and certain exam situations don’t always provide an accurate reflection of an individual’s ability, work ethic or willingness to learn.
The campaign, designed and implemented by Glasgow City Council’s ‘Developing the Young Workforce’ (DYW) department has been created to provide inspiration and reassurance to young people with their upcoming exam results and to demonstrate that exam results don’t necessarily mean guaranteed career success.
Our Digital Marketing & Recruitment Assistant, Lee, shares his #NoWrongPath story.
“I left high school and I didn’t have a clear path on what I wanted to do or achieve. I got accepted into South Lanarkshire College to do Events Management, it was a fun course but it wasn’t my desire to land a career in the industry.”
“I then started looking for an apprenticeship opportunity to combine the earning and learning experience and that’s when I came across Sixth Sense Training. They offered me the opportunity and I have now been with them for three and a half years.”
