Individual Training Accounts

ITA applications are now being accepted for session 2019/20. Learners in Scotland can apply for up to £200 per year of funding towards skills and learning development with an Individual Training Account (ITA).

This scheme, launched in October 2017, aims to make it easier for job hunters and lower paid workers to access qualifications and additional training.

Sixth Sense Training currently offer a range of short courses to improve business, marketing or IT skills, like the ITA Leadership and Management training. If you are currently unemployed or earning less than £22,000, not in education and currently residing in Scotland, you could meet the eligibility criteria.

How Does it Work?

ITA Scotland is an SDS scheme which helps you to pay for learning that you can do at a time, place, pace and in a way to suit you.

You are eligible if:

  • You are over 16 and living in Scotland.
  • You earn under £22,000 per year.
  • You are not in education or involved in any other SDS funded programme.
  • You are unemployed and looking to get back into work.

You could get up to £200 towards the cost of learning new skills.

If you have any queries or questions about our ITA courses, or are having trouble with your application please call or email our Head of Training Accounts – Neil Toner on 01355 698011 or neilt@sixthsense.scot – and he will be happy to help.

To apply, click the link below, pick your course on the My World of Work website, and click the ‘apply for ITA funding’ button. Please note, you will need your National Insurance number to register your interest in a course. After registering interest, one of our advisers will get in touch to inform you of the next steps.
