Job description

Our client, who is an IT & Telecommunications service provider, is looking for an enthusiastic member to join our helpdesk support team. If you love blethering on the phone and tinkering with IT then this is the job for you. You’ll learn to help the team cover first-line support faults for their Telecoms and IT customers as well as all the administration that comes with it. Being organised and confident at speaking on the phone is a must.


  • Providing support on various telecoms and IT platforms
  • Provisioning orders for telephone lines and broadband
  • Raising tickets and answering calls
  • Replying to customer tickets by email and phone
  • Updating Customer records including use of excel/ ticketing software
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Admin Support – call handling/ reception cover/ customer service/ filing/ monitoring email inboxes

Desirable Qualities:

  • Must have a keen interest in technology
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • A good telephone manner
  • Good organisational skills
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Some experience working in either customer service or a customer-facing

You will be supported by a well-established team. Training is important to us, you will be trained in-house on the solutions we provide and obtain the required accreditation as you progress in your role.

Your training will start with a 6-12 months Digital Application Support Modern Apprenticeship, which consists of learning on the job, as well as our custom-built E-Learning platform. You will develop all the skills you need to pass your work-based assessments. Our assessors are available to provide one-to-one support and will work with your line manager to ensure you settle into your new role.

You will gain a Diploma in Digital Application Support, which is a Nationally recognised qualification and may be used to gain employment and further your career in administration.

***Please note all candidates must be 16-24 due to government apprenticeship funding and must be able to easily commute to Irvine every weekday. We welcome applicants from aged 16-29 if you are care experienced or a person with a physical disability, learning difficulty, mental health difficulty, social / communication impairment, or long-standing health issue***

Hours: Full-time: 35 hours Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Wage: £5.28 for the first year. Regular reviews thereafter
